A Time to Die Cover Reveal

I’m happy to spotlight this upcoming release from Marcher Lord Press. Not only does the cover grab me, but the blurb has me really interested to read this book. What about you?

How would you live if you knew the day you’d die?

Parvin Blackwater believes she has wasted her life. At only seventeen, she has one year left according to the Clock by her bedside. In a last-ditch effort to make a difference, she tries to rescue Radicals from the government’s crooked justice system. But when the authorities find out about her illegal activity, they cast her through the Wall — her people’s death sentence. What she finds on the other side about the world, about eternity, and about herself changes Parvin forever and might just save her people. But her clock is running out.

  1. Sounds interesting. I’m very curious about the clock/time aspect and what’s on the other side of the wall. When something sounds so unique, your mind grasps for correlations and so I keep thinking The Giver fused with that movie, In Time, (which I haven’t seen) where they have digital clocks in their arms that determine when they die. But I know it’ll be much, much better than that! 😉

    1. Thank you for stopping by! I’m glad it looks interesting to you. 🙂 while A Time to Die is quite different, I enjoyed the movie In Time because it came out at the same time I was writing so obviously I loved the concept.

I hope you enjoy the book!

  2. Yes on both counts, Lisa! The cover and blurb both grab me. Definitely need to add this one to my TBR pile. It seems like I’ll never get through it when I keep adding good books like this LOL:)

Nadine, how do you like working with Marcher Lord Press? I know they don’t work the way traditional publishers do. I’d love to hear your inside POV:)

    1. LOL, I think all book-lovers have an endless TBR pile (I know I do!) I’m glad ATtD intrigues you, Sara Ella. 🙂

I love working with Marcher Lord Press, though I don’t have anything to compare it to since this will be my debut novel. Thus far, I’ve really appreciated the close interaction with the publisher and authors. I don’t think that would be quite as accessible with a traditional publishing house.

Overall, it’s a great way to ease into the publishing process. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to shoot me an e-mail (http://nadinebrandes.com/contact) and I’ll answer the ones I can! 🙂
